The Johnstown resident is the clinical nursing coordinator at Highlands Health, helping to facilitate the clinic’s nurses, physicians, nurse practitioners, and staff members in the care of the underserved population. During the pandemic, she organized more than 14,000 COVID-19 vaccines and arranged home visits for more than 800 people who could not leave their homes. Soul-pop group Lawrence set to headline benefit concert In celebration of its 27th anniversary, Highlands Health is gearing up for a musical party that will assist the community. The medical clinic, in cooperation with Johnstown Area Heritage Association, announced Friday that Lawrence, with special guest Carla Moffa Trio and The Platelets, will perform at its annual fundraising concert Aug. 24 at Peoples Natural Gas Park, 90 Johns St., downtown Johnstown. Highlands Health has announced the restructuring of its board of directors, a significant step in preparation for achieving Federally Qualified Health Clinic Look Alike (FQHC LAL) status. Board officers include Richard Lobb, president; Bruce Jordan, vice president; Lisa Shirt, treasurer; and Natalie Kaufmann, secretary. New additions to the board are Quan Britt, Eileen Ramirez, Holly Shomo, Anita Faas, Connie Bennett, Terry Gritzer, and Robert Callahan. Bill Mardis, Michele Scanlan, Dr. Richard Wozniak, and Paula Nihoff will continue their service on the board.
